The S 1000 R is the naked sibling of the superbike icon S 1000 RR, blending racing DNA with everyday usability. The 999 ccm inline four-cylinder produces 165 PS at 11,000 rpm – slightly detuned for more torque in the mid-range. The upright riding position, wide superbike handlebar, and road-oriented chassis make it the ideal companion for country roads and corner-carving mountain passes. Thanks to the Öhlins package, dynamic damping control DDC, and four riding modes including Dynamic Pro, performance reaches the highest level. As the benchmark in the power roadster segment, it competes directly with streetfighters such as the Ducati Streetfighter V4 and the Aprilia Tuono V4.
