History.

Founded in Marktschorgast in 1960 — the Franconian premium motorhome brand has been part of the French Pilote Group since 1990.

The company was founded in 1960 by Gustav Groß in Marktschorgast, Upper Franconia, under the name Feriela – since 1983 it has been known as Frankia – and established itself as a premium manufacturer of semi-integrated and fully integrated motorhomes. Characteristic features: high-quality final assembly, in-house engineering depth, and a clear premium standard in interior fit-out.

Since 1990, Frankia-GP GmbH has been part of the French Pilote Group, one of Europe's major motorhome conglomerates. The main plant and final assembly remain in Marktschorgast. With the newer brand Yucon by Frankia, the company expanded its lineup in 2020 to include a standalone camper van and pickup line.
