History.
Founded in 2004, producing in Saxony since 2006 — the Erwin Hymer Group's lifestyle brand for camper vans and motorhomes.
Sunlight was founded in 2004 as a lifestyle brand. From the outset, the brand positioning targets younger audiences with a clear design ethos — the slogan "We are not made for standing still" stands for a consistently functional, contemporary model range of camper vans and motorhomes.
Sunlight is produced by Capron GmbH in Neustadt in Saxony — sharing the same plant pipeline as sister brand Carado. The former agricultural machinery plant was converted into a motorhome production facility with a 450-meter-long assembly line and launched production in November 2006. Capron reached its 50,000th vehicle in 2017 and its 100,000th in 2022 — figures that Sunlight shares with Carado.
