The R 12 G/S is a modern interpretation of the legendary R 80 G/S from 1980 – the mother of all adventure enduro bikes. With its air-cooled 1,170 cc boxer engine, white base paint with red and blue accents, and rounded retro fairing, it unmistakably pays homage to the history of the GS family. Unlike the technologically advanced R 1300 GS, the R 12 G/S focuses on a purist riding experience with an analogue round instrument cluster, straightforward electronics, and air-cooled charm. With 109 PS, a 21-inch front wheel with spoke rims, and generous ground clearance, it is perfectly suited for light to moderate off-road use. For purists and enthusiasts of GS history who prefer to go without a modern electronics arsenal, the R 12 G/S is the first choice.
