The R 1300 R is the roadster among the BMW Boxers – a purist naked bike with an unmasked character. The 145 PS 1,300 cc ShiftCam Boxer engine, well known from the GS, delivers an uncompromisingly dynamic performance on the road. Thanks to its compact sheet-metal shell frame, low center of gravity, and sportily tuned geometry, the result is a naked bike with all-round qualities. The clean design language featuring an exposed Boxer engine, round LED headlights, and minimalist fairing pays homage to classic BMW roadsters. Yet the R 1300 R plays in the top league of modern premium roadsters: a 6.5-inch TFT display, Riding Assistant, six riding modes, and an optional M Package with carbon details elevate the experience.
