The R 12 S is the sportiest Heritage interpretation of the current model range and a direct bow to the legendary R 90 S from the 1970s. With a half-fairing, low clip-on handlebars, and rear-set footpegs, it delivers the classic Café Racer look combined with the 109 PS output of the air-cooled Boxer engine. The exclusive paintwork in Racing Red or black-and-orange draws on historic BMW racing colors, while details such as the double-spiral instrument housings evoke the early years of the brand. The technology is thoroughly modern, however: ABS Pro, traction control, and four riding modes support spirited riding. The R 12 S is available in limited numbers and appeals to nostalgically inclined enthusiasts.
