The F 800 GS is the entry point into the GS world, aimed particularly at A2 licence holders – at 87 PS it can easily be restricted to 48 PS. Using the same 895 ccm parallel twin as the F 900 GS, it deliberately delivers reduced output for more favourable insurance categories and a more direct character. The suspension with 175/170 mm of travel is tuned more moderately than on the F 900 GS, but this makes it better suited to the beginner profile. As an everyday travel enduro with off-road charm and the typical GS look, it is popular with riders who don't want to spend too much. ABS Pro, DTC and two riding modes are standard.
