The BMW M5 Touring of the G99 series brings back the M5 estate variant after a 14-year hiatus and is at the same time the first M5 Touring with plug-in hybrid technology. It shares the 4.4-litre V8 biturbo S68 plus electric motor, the 18.6-kWh high-voltage battery for up to 67 km of purely electric range, and the M xDrive drivetrain with 2WD mode with the saloon. In everyday use, it impresses with a variable boot of 500 to 1,700 litres, a tow hitch with 2,000 kg towing capacity, and a separately foldable 40:20:40 rear seat. The 8-speed M Steptronic with Drivelogic combines sporty shift behaviour with relaxed everyday usability; the adaptive M suspension with integral active steering maintains confident composure even at a top speed of over 305 km/h (M Driver's Package). Inside, the BMW Curved Display with M graphics, M sport seats, and ambient-lit carbon trim strips define the atmosphere. The M5 Touring is produced at the BMW plant in Dingolfing.
