The BMW 5 Series sedan of the G60 generation is the eighth generation of the business-class classic from Dingolfing, setting new standards in interior space and driving comfort with an exterior length of 5.06 metres. Its interior is heavily defined by digital technology: the BMW Curved Display combines a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touch infotainment screen on a curved glass surface, while climate control and virtually all vehicle functions are operated via Operating System 8.5. The drivetrain portfolio includes efficient 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, the powerful straight-six diesel 540d xDrive, the plug-in hybrid 550e xDrive with up to 103 km of electric range, as well as the fully electric i5 sister model range. Numerous driver assistance systems including the semi-automated Highway Assistant, adaptive LED headlights and an optional air suspension make the 5 Series a supremely capable touring sedan. The model range is produced at the BMW plant in Dingolfing.
