The BMW i5 is the fully electric variant of the 5 Series and is produced alongside the combustion engine sedan and Touring at the Dingolfing plant. It is available as a classic four-door sedan as well as a spacious Touring, and implements the new 5 Series design language with flat light signatures and a digitally dominated interior. The high-voltage battery with 81,2 kWh of usable capacity powers the eDrive40 with 340 PS rear-wheel drive and up to 582 km WLTP range, as well as the M60 xDrive with 601 PS system output, two electric motors and boost function, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3,8 seconds. DC charging is supported at up to 205 kW. The BMW Curved Display with Operating System 8.5, the semi-automated Highway Assistant with lane changes via gaze prompts, adaptive air suspension and integral active steering are available depending on trim level. Inside, the Interaction Bar, vegan interior and IconicSounds Electric add distinctive accents.
