The BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo of the G32 generation was produced from October 2017 to summer 2023 at the BMW plant in Dingolfing, and as the successor to the 5 Series Gran Turismo offered a distinctive interpretation of the fastback touring sedan. Measuring 5.09 meters in length, with a 3.07-meter wheelbase and a long roofline sloping toward the rear, it combined generous rear passenger space with the practicality of a large tailgate and 610 to 1,800 liters of cargo volume. The model range was based on the CLAR platform and shared its engineering with the 5 Series and 7 Series; standard equipment included rear-axle air suspension, iDrive 7 infotainment, and an active rear spoiler that deployed automatically above 120 km/h. The 2020 facelift introduced Operating System 7. The engine portfolio ranged from the 620d with 190 PS through 2.0- and 3.0-liter gasoline engines to the 640d xDrive with 340 PS. In summer 2023, production came to an end after just a single generation and without a direct successor — BMW has since focused exclusively on the 5 Series and 7 Series in this segment.
