The BMW i4 is the fully electric interpretation of the 4 Series Gran Coupé and is manufactured in parallel with the 3 Series sedan at the main plant in Munich. The CLAR platform enables an electric vehicle with classic BMW proportions: a long hood, a low roofline, and short overhangs. Beneath the vehicle floor sits a battery with up to 83.9 kWh of usable capacity, powering the eDrive35 (286 PS rear-wheel drive) and the eDrive40 (340 PS rear-wheel drive) with a WLTP range of up to 590 km; the M50 xDrive as the top model combines two electric motors for 544 PS and all-wheel drive, accelerating to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. DC charging at up to 205 kW charges the i4 from 10 to 80% in 31 minutes. The interior features the BMW Curved Display with Operating System 8.5, ambient-lit surfaces, and optional Hans-Zimmer-IconicSounds Electric. The M Sport package, adaptive suspension, and Harman Kardon sound are available as options.
