The BMW M3 sedan of the G80 series is the latest iteration of Munich's motorsport icon and has represented the balancing act between everyday sedan and radical sports machine for more than four decades. At its heart works the inline six-cylinder biturbo S58 with 3.0 liters of displacement, delivering 510 PS in the Competition variant and up to 550 PS as the M3 CS, while its front axle double-Cardan joint ensures precise steering response. The choice is between a manual 6-speed gearbox (rear-wheel drive) or the 8-speed M Steptronic with Drivelogic; M xDrive features a pure rear-wheel drive mode for a characteristically M-like driving feel. The BMW Curved Display, the M-specific head-up display with shift-point LEDs, carbon bucket seats, and an adaptive M chassis are part of the standard or optional equipment. The M3 is produced, like the 3 Series sedan, at BMW's main plant in Munich.
