The BMW 1 Series of the F70 generation is the third generation of the compact from Munich and is consistently designed as a front-wheel drive vehicle. It is the only BMW model manufactured in parallel at two plants – in Regensburg and Leipzig – and targets customers who seek premium standards in compact dimensions. The model range features the characteristic BMW Curved Display with a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and 10.7-inch touchscreen, a redesigned interior with BMW Operating System 9, and efficient 3- to 4-cylinder petrol engines as well as TwinPower diesel engines with 48-volt mild-hybrid technology. The M135 xDrive leads the lineup with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo and 300 PS, and comes with standard all-wheel drive and an M sports suspension. As is customary with BMW, extensive driver assistance systems, adaptive LED headlights, and digital services are available.
