With the C192 series, Mercedes-AMG completely redesigned its sports car in 2023. Unlike its predecessor, the C190, the GT now shares its platform with the SL R232, gained a second row of seats (2+2), and all-wheel drive 4MATIC+ as the standard drivetrain concept. The market launch took place in October 2023 — the coupé has been built exclusively at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen since 2024, unlike its predecessor, which still rolled off the line in Sindelfingen. On the drivetrain side, two output levels of the hand-built 4.0-litre V8 biturbo are available: 476 PS in the GT 55 and 585 PS in the GT 63. In addition, a rear-wheel-drive base model with a four-cylinder turbo as well as a plug-in hybrid top variant with up to 816 PS of system output joined the lineup in 2024. At 4,728 mm in length and 1,354 mm in height, the C192 positions itself as a classic front-mid-engine GT coupé.
