The fourth-generation Mercedes-Benz A-Class (series W177, since 2018) is the entry point into the Mercedes world and defines the premium compact in hatchback form. With balanced proportions, high-quality workmanship, and the distinctive MBUX cockpit featuring two side-by-side displays, it appeals equally to design-conscious newcomers and urban high-mileage drivers. The engine range includes efficient four-cylinder petrol engines with 48-volt mild hybrid, TDI diesel, and the A 250 e as a plug-in hybrid with real-world electric range. At the top sits the AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ with 421 PS from what was the world's most powerful series-production four-cylinder engine. Until spring 2026, the A-Class rolled off the line at the Rastatt plant; from the second quarter of 2026, it is produced exclusively at the Hungarian plant in Kecskemét — in Rastatt, it made way for the new MMA-generation CLA and GLA.
