The Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake of the new C178 series is, from 2026, the practical sibling of the CLA saloon, carrying the coupé design through to the B-pillar before extending the silhouette with a generous load compartment. With a base volume of 455 litres, 1,290 litres with the rear seats folded, and an additional 101-litre frunk under the bonnet, it offers the combination of sportiness and everyday practicality that has always defined the Shooting Brake line. Here too, the series adopts the MMA platform, the MB.OS operating system, and the distinctive star design in the front fascia. The combustion engine variants share the 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine with the saloon, while the fully electric variant delivers up to 761 km of WLTP range and 800-volt fast-charging technology. Production commenced in December 2025 in Rastatt, where the Shooting Brake rolls off the line alongside the saloon; the partner plant in Kecskemét also manufactures the model.
