The Tayron is Volkswagen's new large family SUV, replacing the former Tiguan Allspace. Unveiled in October 2024 at the Paris Motor Show, the series has been in production since March 2025 — developed and manufactured at VW's main plant in Wolfsburg. At 4,792 mm in length and with a 2,791 mm wheelbase, it optionally offers a third row of seats for up to seven passengers. A broad range of drivetrains is available: TSI petrol engines with mild hybrid technology, TDI diesel engines, and an eHybrid plug-in hybrid with an electric range exceeding 100 kilometres (WLTP). The Tayron is based on the MQB Evo platform of the second-generation Tiguan and shares its infotainment and driver assistance systems.
