The VW ID.7 is Volkswagen's electric executive sedan and has been manufactured at the Emden plant since 2023. Measuring just under 4.96 meters in length, featuring a new and particularly aerodynamic body type (cw 0.23) and a generously designed interior with a 15-inch infotainment display and a new head-up display with augmented reality, it positions itself in the segment alongside the Passat, BMW i5, and Mercedes EQE. The drivetrain portfolio includes the ID.7 Pro with 286 PS rear motor and 77 kWh net battery (approx. 621 km WLTP), the ID.7 Pro S with the large 86 kWh (net) battery and up to 709 km WLTP — the best-in-class figure in the segment — as well as the ID.7 GTX as a dual-motor all-wheel drive variant with 340 PS system output. All ID.7 models charge at up to 200 kW DC depending on version and go from 10 to 80 percent state of charge in around 28 minutes. Standard equipment includes advanced comfort technologies such as massage seats, the Smart Air Care automatic climate concept, and the Travel Assist 3.0 driver assistance system.
