History.

Malibu is the sister brand of the Carthago Group, founded in 1979 by Karl-Heinz Schuler. The brand is positioned in the premium segment for camper vans and compact motorhomes — as a complement to the Carthago main brand, which focuses on larger, fully integrated models.

Malibu vehicles are manufactured at the sister plant in Aulendorf and, since May 2023, at a new plant in Ormož, Slovenia, which was built specifically for van production.
