The Porsche Taycan is Porsche's first fully electric model range and has been built since 2019 at the purpose-built electric plant in Zuffenhausen, directly adjacent to the 911 and 718 lines. With the facelift in March 2024, the Y1A model range received a comprehensive technical and visual overhaul: more power, larger batteries (82.3 or 97.0 kWh net), faster DC charging at up to 320 kW, and a WLTP range of up to 678 km for the Taycan with rear-wheel drive. At the top of the lineup sits the Taycan Turbo GT, which with the Weissach package delivers 1,034 PS and reaches 100 km/h in 2.2 s, making it one of the fastest production vehicles in the world. The model range comprises three body type variants: the four-door sports saloon, the Cross Turismo with a raised Shooting Brake body, and the Sport Turismo. All variants use the legendary 800 V onboard electrical architecture.
