The Porsche Macan (series 95B) was Porsche's compact sport SUV from 2014 to April 2024 and was built exclusively at the Porsche plant in Leipzig. With around one million units produced by 2025, it was at times the best-selling Porsche model in the world. The series received facelifts in 2018 and 2021 and was offered in the variants Macan (2.0 R4 Turbo, 245 PS), Macan T (2.9 V6 Biturbo, 380 PS), Macan S (380 PS) and Macan GTS (440 PS). For the 2024 model year, production of the combustion engine Macan ended in Europe — also for regulatory reasons surrounding the EU cybersecurity regulations UNECE R155. The Macan lives on as a fully electric series (type XAB / Macan Electric) on the PPE platform, which is produced in parallel on the same Leipzig line. A final anniversary Macan rolled off the assembly line in early 2025 as the one-millionth example.
