The bimobil EX 480 is an expedition vehicle built on the light truck chassis Mercedes Atego 4×4. Spanning 6.60 m in length, 2.43 m in width, and 3.48 m in height, it offers a payload of 3.47 t at a permissible gross weight of 10.5 t – more than enough reserve for extended world travels, large water tanks, and individual equipment. The interior features a 1.45 × 2.10 m rear cross bed, a separate kitchen, an independent bathroom with shower, and a versatile seating area for up to four travelers. 300 l of fresh water, a Truma Combi 4 gas heater, and a robust, hand-crafted aluminum and solid wood body make the EX 480 ready for long stretches off the beaten track – with the long-distance comfort and off-road capability typical of the Atego.
