The Mercedes-Benz eEconic is the fully electric low-floor truck for zero-emission waste collection and municipal operations. Three lithium-ion battery packs with a combined 336 kWh deliver enough energy for 100 to 150 km of typical urban operation – sufficient for a complete collection day. The ePowertrain with two integrated electric motors delivers up to 400 kW peak output with low-noise operation, which is particularly beneficial for residents' quality of life during the early morning hours. The proven DirectVision cab of the conventional Econic is retained. A mechanical power take-off with 31 kW continuous output drives specialist bodies such as refuse collectors.
