With the Graneo, Dethleffs expands its lineup for the 2027 model year with a new premium-class series based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter – and deliberately launches it as an alcove model: the first series model, the A 6823-2, made its debut at the Caravan Salon 2026 in Düsseldorf. The base is the Sprinter 519 CDI high-frame with rear-wheel drive, twin tyres, 190 PS (140 kW), and 9G-Tronic automatic transmission, along with Mercedes driver assistance systems and the MBUX multimedia system. Because both single beds – measuring 217 × 80 cm and 206 × 80 cm – are located in the alcove, the lower level of the 7.98 m long vehicle offers ample space for an expansive wraparound seating area with panoramic window front, a gourmet kitchen centre with a 3-burner hob, 153-litre refrigerator, and mineral composite worktop, as well as a full-width wet bath with a separate shower spanning the entire vehicle width. Off-grid capability and all-season suitability are ensured by 232 l of fresh water and 222 l of wastewater capacity, a standard 325 Ah lithium battery (expandable to 650 Ah), hot water heating, and a heated double floor with frost-protected tank routing; the Lifetime Plus body construction technology dispenses entirely with wooden inserts. With a permissible gross vehicle weight of 5,500 kg and a kerb weight of 4,190 kg, two to four seatbelt positions, and a heated XXL rear garage with a 250 kg floor load rating, the Graneo is aimed at couples and year-round campers who want to stay off-grid for extended periods – starting from €169,999.
