The Opel Grandland Electric is the purely electric version of the second Grandland generation and Opel's new electric flagship in the SUV segment. It is manufactured alongside the mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid at the Opel plant in Eisenach. Technically, it is based on the STLA Medium platform, developed exclusively for electrified drivetrains. At market launch, two battery sizes are available: 73 kWh net for the entry level (range of up to 523 km WLTP) and the new 97 kWh long-range battery for up to 694 km of range — one of the highest figures in the segment. The electric motor on the front axle delivers 213 PS, while a dual-motor variant (Grandland Electric AWD) produces 325 PS and all-wheel drive. DC charging power reaches up to 160 kW, and an AC charger with 11 kW is standard. Charging is via the PPE-compatible 400-volt architecture; Opel backs the battery with a warranty of 8 years or 160,000 km.
