The Opel Astra Sports Tourer is the estate variant of the sixth Astra generation (L), extending the five-door hatchback with a significantly enlarged cargo area. It is built in parallel with the five-door and the Astra Electric at Opel's main plant in Rüsselsheim. Compared to the hatchback, the length increases by 268 mm to 4,642 mm and the wheelbase by 57 mm to 2,732 mm — boosting boot capacity to 516 to 597 Liter (up to 1,634 l with the rear seats folded). The Sports Tourer offers the same drivetrain range as the five-door: 1.2 turbo petrol engine (110–145 PS), 1.5 diesel (130 PS), 1.6 plug-in hybrid (180–225 PS), and since 2024 also the purely electric Astra Sports Tourer Electric with 156 PS. This makes the Astra Sports Tourer one of the few compact estates with a fully-fledged electric variant in the segment.
