World premiere of the VW ID.3 Neo: a fully renewed electric compact from Zwickau

Volkswagen has unveiled the ID.3 Neo – a comprehensive new edition featuring a new name, new design, new cockpit, and a range of up to 630 kilometers. The compact model continues to be built at the plant in Zwickau, Saxony.

The ID.3 Neo is more than a facelift: Volkswagen gives the electric compact a new front end in the "Pure Positive" design, a completely redesigned cockpit, and a switch to the further developed MEB+ platform. With the largest of three battery sizes, up to 630 kilometres according to WLTP are possible.

Pre-sales launched in mid-April 2026 at prices starting from 33,995 euros, with the first deliveries announced for July 2026. The ID.3 Neo is produced at the Zwickau plant, which Volkswagen has developed into one of its key locations for electric mobility.

Zwickau thus remains one of the most important electric vehicle locations for Volkswagen in Germany; in addition to the ID.3, further models from the MEB platform roll off the assembly line there.
