The fourth-generation Ford Focus (Mk4, internal designation C519) was produced at the Ford plant in Saarlouis from 2018 to November 2025, and over seven model years it ranked among the best-selling compact-class model lines in Europe. Production came to an end on 14 November 2025 — with a white five-door as the last unit built — marking the close of a 27-year model history that had begun in Saarlouis in 1998 and encompassed a total of around 12 million Focus units sold. The fourth generation adopted the new C2 platform, offered body type variants as a five-door hatchback and Turnier estate, as well as the sporty ST and ST-Line versions. On the engine side, the 1.0-l EcoBoost three-cylinder with 48-volt mild-hybrid technology, the 1.5-l EcoBlue diesel engine, and in the Focus ST the 2.3-l EcoBoost four-cylinder with 280 PS were deployed. Driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, Level 2 partial autonomy, and the digital SYNC 4 infotainment were available in the final phase. With the end of Focus production, the long-established passenger car manufacturing at the Saarlouis plant also came to a close after more than 50 years.
