The Van TI is the link between the panel van and the classic semi-integrated model in the Knaus portfolio, addressing travelers who want semi-integrated comfort combined with maximum everyday usability in the city and on tight pitches. At just 2.20 m in exterior width – significantly narrower than the class average of 2.30 m – it remains manageable in any car park and on any narrow mountain pass. With lengths ranging from 5.99 to 6.96 m and a gross vehicle weight of 3.5 t, it is also the lightest vehicle in its class. The technical highlight is Knaus's proprietary FoldXPand rear: a fold-out rear wall section creates additional living space when stationary, without compromising the narrow exterior dimensions. This allows the Van TI to bridge the gap between the pure panel van range (BoxLife/BoxTime) and the full-width semi-integrated Sky TI – forming, together with the considerably more expensive Van TI Plus (VW Crafter, optional all-wheel drive), the narrow van series from Knaus.
