The DS 4 is the five-door premium compact of the French Stellantis brand DS Automobiles. It is manufactured alongside the Opel Astra and the Peugeot 308 at the Stellantis plant in Rüsselsheim — on the shared EMP2-V3 platform. With the 2025 model update (also marketed internally as DS N°4), the drivetrain lineup was expanded: a 1.2 PureTech mild-hybrid petrol engine with 145 PS, a plug-in hybrid with a 180 PS combustion engine plus an 81-kW electric motor and 360 Nm of system torque, as well as a fully electric E-Tense variant with 213 PS and a 58-kWh battery, which is claimed to cover up to 449 km on the WLTP cycle. The PHEV accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and achieves up to 77 km on electric power alone. Visually, the brand emphasizes French design with a distinctive interior concept, positioning itself at a price point above the Astra and the 308.
