Knaus Tabbert presents the 2027 model year: Sky TI switches to the VW Crafter

At the annual press conference in Jandelsbrunn, Lower Bavaria, Knaus Tabbert presented the new models for the 2027 season – most notably the Knaus Sky TI as the first semi-integrated motorhome on the new flat-frame chassis of the VW Crafter.

The centerpiece of the 2027 model year is the Knaus Sky TI's switch from the previous Fiat Ducato to the VW Crafter, featuring a newly developed flat-floor chassis and widened rear axle. Three floor plans (650 MEG, 700 DEG, and 700 DX) come standard with underfloor heating and a heated double floor; the starting price is approximately €99,900. The Van TI Plus also moves to the Crafter platform and is available for the first time with an optional all-wheel drive.

At the sister brand Weinsberg, the CaraLife celebrates its premiere as a fully electric, gas-free entry-level caravan – with an induction hob, refrigerator, and air conditioning as standard. The best-selling semi-integrated motorhome in Europe, the Weinsberg CaraCompact in the Edition Pepper, is also relaunched and expanded with the particularly compact floor plan 580 MEG (6.30 m).

Knaus Tabbert manufactures at its headquarters in Jandelsbrunn and is one of the largest motorhome manufacturers in Germany. The public premiere of the model year 2027 vehicles will follow at the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf (28 August to 6 September 2026).
