Bürstner Habiton 6.1: Sprinter Campervan with Two-Meter Crosswise Bed in Under Six Meters
Düsseldorf, August 28, 2026: Bürstner presents the second floor plan of its Sprinter-based Habiton series at the Caravan Salon: a body-type extension enables a 2.02-metre-long transverse bed in the 6.1 at just 5.93 metres vehicle length – optionally available as the all-wheel drive version HMX.
Following the Habiton 6.0 with single beds, Bürstner is presenting the Habiton 6.1 for the first time as a near-production vehicle at Düsseldorf. The trick: a GfK add-on running the full length of the left side of the vehicle widens the rear area enough to accommodate a 2.02-metre transverse bed (1.40 metres at the head end, 1.24 metres at the foot end) – all within an overall length of 5.93 metres. Up to four seatbelt positions and five sleeping berths are possible.
The Habiton comes gas-free as standard: diesel heating, a two-zone induction hob, two lithium batteries with 150 Ah each, and a 2,000-watt inverter are all part of the standard equipment, along with 110 litres of fresh water and 90 litres of waste water capacity, plus a panoramic roof. The HM 6.1 starts at €78,999. The all-wheel drive variant HMX is built on the Sprinter 419 CDI with 190 PS, permanent all-wheel drive, increased ground clearance, underbody protection, and a hill descent control system.
Bürstner manufactures its motorhomes and campervans at its main plant in Kehl am Rhein; following the end of caravan production with the 2027 model year, the company will focus entirely on motorized leisure vehicles. Bürstner had already announced the Habiton 6.1 in early August via press release.
