The Company

Erhardt+Leimer was founded in Augsburg, Germany in 1919. It concentrated first on automatic equipment for textile finishing for which it was the leading manufacturer worldwide by 1979. As early as in 1960 the company opened new fields of business and extended its activities to the paper, film and foil sectors.

Strong business relations with India encouraged the company to establish a joint venture in Ahmedabad in 1978. A new plant has been opened recently to provide adequate manufacturing space for the steadily growing Indian demand of products made by Erhardt+Leimer.
