Messe Duesseldorf GmbH is a world leader both as a trade fair organizer and as a provider of trade fair related services for exhibitors and visitors.

The Duesseldorf Trade Fair was established in 1947 and has had 40 years of experience in organising trade fairs all over the world. Globally, the Messe Duesseldorf Group employs over 1,400 people. In the fairgrounds in Duesseldorf itself, about 26,300 exhibitors have showcased technology, products, innovative ideas to over 1.3 million visitors on a floor space of around 2,52,000 m2, in 17 halls. Of the 40 events organised in Duesseldorf, over 20 have become benchmark exhibitions in their sectors like GIFA, WIRE and TUBE, INTERPACK, MEDICA, ‘K’, DRUPA, GLASSTEC and so on. The international network of Messe Duesseldorf GmbH consists of 65 foreign agencies, subsidiaries and representatives in over 105 countries.

For Messe Duesseldorf GmbH, entering the Indian market through its Indian subsidiary Messe Duesseldorf India Pvt. Ltd. has presented its own formidable challenges. Given the ability of the management to be flexible and adjust to the business environment in India, it has also provided an opportunity to fulfill the company’s aim to consolidate the business and ramp up the work of both Messe Duesseldorf GmbH and Messe Duesseldorf India in the Indian subcontinent. Since the formation of the company 2 years ago, Messe Duesseldorf India Pvt. Ltd. has organised well received trade fairs in India in sectors like medical diagnostics, tube and pipe, metallurgy, welding and packaging.

Though, the short-term goal has been to secure and gradually expand the satellite trade fairs like Tube India International, Metallurgy India, Medical Fair INDIA, International PackTech India and ESSEN WELDING INDIA. It has also been a time for developing and establishing new and more trade themes in India, in areas like glass technology - GLASSPEXINDIA, wire & cable machinery, rehabilitation aids and so on. Keeping in mind that India is one of the emerging economies and has immense potential, Messe Duesseldorf India Pvt. Ltd. intends to work closely with both Indian as well as international partners and associates and further be a catalyst for the development of industry in India.
