STOOF International has existed since 1865 and is now run by the fifth generation of the same family. Today, it is one of the leading manufacturers of armour-plated vehicles and security systems.

Range of Products and Activities

STOOF International individually modifies vehicles of various brands, e.g. Mercedes Benz, BMW, Toyota, Porsche, and VW, to create special armour-plated vehicles, offering every level of protection from B3 up to the highest level of B7. From CIT vehicles and jeeps, to luxury limousines and heavily armoured trucks of up to 40 tons, anything can be converted. It is impossible to see that the vehicles have been armour-plated from the outside. Armour-plating kits are also available allowing owners to fit them to their trucks themselves. In addition, STOOF International provides all other kinds of security products, ranging from protective helmets and vests to armoured glass and other special solutions, such as stretched and armoured vehicles, armoured caterpillar vehicles, and diggers for mine clearance.

Not only are the materials used by STOOF International thoroughly tested - complete vehicles are subject to certification by independent bodies in accordance with German (DIN) and international (CEN & NATO) standards. This ensures the highest level of security for clients and repeatedly confirms that there is no danger posed on occupants in terms of the handling of the vehicles. The chassis, brakes, and wheels of armour-plated vehicles must also be adapted to meet the increased requirements. Moreover, trained bodyguards and security drivers are available. In addition, STOOF International offers hi-tech surveillance of both money and valuables transporters and of special protection vehicles. Such vehicles can be tracked worldwide in real-time. As security in a critical situation depends on the abilities of the driver, STOOF International also provides safe-driving training focusing on armoured vehicles. Due to the increased weight of these vehicles they display an entirely different drivability than standard vehicles.
