The Company

MEDIA BROADCAST is a leading service provider in the fields of broadcasting and media in Germany. Since January 2008, the company has been part of the TDF Group, a trans-European group of companies. As a major service provider, TDF provides IT, telecommunications, and broadcasting solutions, as well as terrestrial networks, across Europe.

MEDIA BROADCAST operates analogue and digital broadcasting networks in Germany for radio and television, and a Germany-wide IP-based universal network for applications in the fields of radio and TV broadcasting, as well as in IT and telecommunications, which connects studios, media centres and cities. Two satellite earth stations broadcast TV signals to Europe and are hubs for the international transmission of broadcasts between the continents.

Via its Usingen teleport, located near Frankfurt, MEDIA BROADCAST provides worldwide, primarily IP-based, network solutions for international business clients. The service provider integrates terrestrial networks with satellite services to produce integrated turnkey solutions.

The range of services available includes corporate networks based in Germany or Europe, as well as national networks such as for example in Africa.

MEDIA BROADCAST offers solutions for a wide range of sectors, including public authorities, the oil, gas, and energy sectors, banks, as well as in areas of exploration, construction, transport, and shipping.

Recent Develpments

As the German specialist for event broadcasting solutions, MEDIA BROADCAST has been contracted to provide broadcasting services – including TV pictures and other services – for games at the FIFA 2009 Confederations Cup in South Africa and games at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

MEDIA BROADCAST is, as the prime contractor, constructing a new DVB-T network in Ghana, which will allow digital terrestrial TV broadcasting.
