SYMBOIL® AG focuses on sustainable energy generation from renewable resources. Its strategy is based on utilising synergies between food production and energy generation. The vegetable oil produced is supplied directly to the African food market, whilst the by-products from the manufacturing process are used for optimal energy generation in biogas plants and pyrolysis reactors.
Raw materials are produced directly in the local country, thereby obviating the need for expensive imports. Decentralised energy supply using the residues of the production process counteracts with the sometimes severe energy supply shortcomings in the region. Particularly in rural regions this energy supply can provide a significant motor for economic growth. Valuable land which has been unused for years can be returned to cultivation. By-products of plant cultivation can lead to the establishment of small and medium-sized enterprises, thus providing more opportunities for investors. The construction of electricity generation plants and the associated agricultural projects of the mega-farm create many jobs, which thereby offer the local population new perspectives outside of the capital city.
SYMBOIL® AG wants to integrate the local people in its projects by also constructing accommodation facilities, improving medical care and supporting educational projects.
