The company‘s upstream activities currently focus on Germany, Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Mauretania, Morocco, Norway, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Denmark, and Poland. RWE Dea recognises its social responsibility in the countries in which the company is operating. The objective is contributing on a long-term base to the social and economic development of a country through carefully selected projects in cooperation with a number of local and international institutions. Amongst these are school renovations projects and literacy classes in Egypt as well as support for the School of Blinds in Tripoli and special traineeship programmes for young Libyans.
